Here’s some news to cheer about.
Applause will be allowed at Broward County School Board meetings.
The School Board considered a proposal about decorum for meetings, with a recommendation of “no clapping, applauding, heckling, shouting comments from the audience or verbal outbursts in support or opposition to a speaker.”
But after board members applauded speakers who criticized the FCAT earlier, they realized maybe that’s not the best policy. They’re still looking at regulating other types of outbursts.
